1/2 Day Bonaire Highlights and Beach Stop This is a special combination tour of Bonaire history and beach experience developed especially for our CRUISE SHIP GUESTS on the popular OPEN AIR PARTY BUS.  Imagine the color pink on a leisurely narrated drive in search of Bonaire's famous flamingos. Head through the countryside to the lush mangrove forests of the southeast and stop at the spectacular Lac Bay Sorobon Beach for a refreshing break where you can dip your feet in the turquoise waters.  We will drive-by the Pekelmeer (Bird Sanctuary) salt pans, shrimp-filled pools that attract flocks of flamingos. Get a sense of history visiting the 19th-century primitive slaves huts who worked and collected salt here.   You will also see the towering salt hills when they are  harvesting the salt.  After the historic and cultural tour you will have the option to be dropped off at the Sorobon Beach for 2 hours.   Inclusions: - 1 Water bottle - Free drop off and pick-up to and from the beach to the cruise terminal - Free salt rocks sample    Helpful Hints - Dress in weather-appropriate clothing with a swimsuit underneath. - Bring a towel and sunscreen.  -Wear flat comfortable walking shoes with non-slip soles. Start by following the scenic route along the north coast. After taking a short break at 1000 steps, head to Lake Goto. The lookout offers spectacular views of the lake and the rolling hills of Washington Slagbai National Park beyond. Flamingos are also common in the lake. The tour continues to Rincon, the only other town in Bonaire besides the capital Kralendijk. The tour ends with a stop at Ser Largue. Perched on a hill, this vantage point offers stunning views of the island.
